Shannon McElroy
Shannon McElroy is a speech and language pathologist with 24 years of professional experience. She began her career in the school setting for eight years in the states of Washington and Tennessee. She started home health services when she moved to Arizona then followed in the same setting in Texas. She provided home health services in New Braunfels, TX and surrounding areas for over six years. She then joined Crossroads Therapy Clinic where she currently works with her sister Renee Hill, also a speech language pathologist and clinic owner. Shannon specializes in assessment and providing therapy in areas of apraxia of speech, feeding disorders, and motor speech disorders for children with Down syndrome, Autism spectrum, Cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders. She also works with children with articulation disorders and expressive/receptive language disorders. She holds certifications on orofacial myology and is SOFFI® trained. Shannon holds a master’s degree from the University of Alabama and has received special training in speech and oral placement therapy, feeding therapy (Talk Tools Level 4), apraxia, SOFFI®, and PROMPT training.
